This private residence is in the Oak Hills Place neighborhood on a rare lot type with a geographical ridge that overlooks wetlands as well as views to the neighborhood lakes.  The residences is positioned atop the ridge where the previous house was to maximize the ability to take advantage of the wetlands and ravine behind the property while minimizing the impact of each of them.  Besides the house, the project included a new bridge over the ravine, an outdoor living pavilion, a recessed fire pit, a prayer garden, and a rustic play structure from salvaged timber in the wetlands.
